Hello everyone and welcome back for this week’s article! I saw a live performance called Sankofa at the Curve Theatre! The show is performed by the use of storytelling and live music. It is based on an ambitious character named Nicole.

Her grand-uncle, Asiedu used to be an inspirational playwright that influenced a Ghanaian Theatre. Nicole finds out about her African roots which sets her on an epic adventure to discover more about her heritage. She is set to learn about her ancestors which she can bring forward towards her exciting future which she brings back to her home in London.

A beautiful play set with strong, warm lighting focused on the main character. The show also has live music which includes traditional African drumming.  It is a splendid semi-autobiographical show. An excellent performance!
