TRIBUTE TREE IN MEMORY OF PC AUSTIN JACKSON

A close up of crocheted pieces which we hung up on the Silver Birch Tree

I joined a few ladies from the local area who dedicated their time to decorate this beautiful tree with wonderful crochet pieces which we produced in one of the workshops. This is a tribute to PC Austin Jackson, 38 who sadly passed away while he was at work in March 2017. He left behind his wife and four children. His colleagues referred to him as 'great Bobby'. Austin was also part of a great charity which was ran by LCFC Community Trust.

Crocheted Rose
10,000 bulbs were also planted in memory of Austin Jackson making the area look very pretty.

We spent six weeks crocheting pieces and wrapped a Silver Birch tree with crochet pieces surrounded by beautiful wild plants and flowers. The area also consists of a multi use games court for the community to use and has benches to sit on.

The games area also has many activities which take place to help the young people engage with the local community and help them into local outdoor activities around the court.
