MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER- A CELEBRATORY REOPENING OF THE CURVE THEATRE!

This week I was invited to watch the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber at The Curve Theatre in Leicester. A remarkable performance by a band made up of eight musicians. The auditorium was converted into a social distance seating plan for the audience to enjoy and capture the full intensity of the entire performance led by talented musicians, singers and dancers from the Curve Young Company.

Legendary, Andrew introduced some of his greatest songs in a pre recorded video which was filmed around some of Leicester's iconic destinations. This featured Evita, Phantom of the Opera, The School of Rock, Sunset Boulevard with heaps of other songs too! It was an enchanting performance and very exciting to watch! The cast captured the live audience's attention with their outstanding vocals which brought Andrew's songs to life!

Not only was the show a captivating experience, the ushers delivered excellent customer service and communicated well with the audience. There was a 20 minute interval and during this time they attended to each member of the audience, offering soft or alcoholic drinks. They also had ice cream! Flavour's included strawberry, vanilla or double chocolate! I picked the double chocolate which was delicious!

The performance was set on a revolving stage which moved in a circular motion throughout the concert. The show also had dramatic stage lighting that complemented the music. This created a magical thrill which left me on the edges of my seat!

Leicester brought the theatre back to it's glory! It would be nice for this to remain open for the members of the public to enjoy. A theatre is a place to watch charismatic live performances and bring the community together as well as attract people from all over the world to see this wonderful structure which has a lot to offer!
