STOP LIVING IN YOUR HEAD!

It is probably easier said than done but most of us have been in this situation. We spend our time over thinking certain thoughts and end up being stuck in our heads. Usually these are negative thoughts that spiral out of control. So the question is how do we overcome this pattern?

Well we have been challenged in many aspects throughout our lives. The previous generation kept things hidden and did not speak about their feelings. But now that we live in the 21st century, it is acceptable to be open about our deepest thoughts by speaking to a close friend or relative. Maybe even a councilor. Sometimes even speaking to a stranger on a train can also help.

It is better to have that social interaction and be out in the open then to keep thoughts stuck in your head which circle around. It makes matters worse and can be unhealthy during the long term. Communication is vital. After all we are social creatures and we are simply here to interact and connect with one another by expressing love and compassion. It is perfectly normal. We have power over the mind. Thoughts are just like clouds. They come and they go as they please.

Letting go of certain thoughts maybe a bit more challenging. In these circumstances it is good to meditate or maybe take up on a routine of gentle exercise to release endorphins. These are stored in the pituitary gland.  Exercises such as jogging, walking in the park or a dance class is beneficial and also a good way to meet new people for the chance to make new friends and gain a social life.

Also every time a negative thought appears into your mind then think of several positive ones which will create more positive events in your life. Make this into a habit. Some of your friends maybe be put off by your new method off thinking but instead you may attract new friends that will share similar interests. Let go of the negative thoughts that do not serve you.

If there are negative people around you do not feed into their way of thinking. Instead just focus on your own hobbies and goals and start living the life that you want! Soon the people that were negative may also want to change and pick up on your positive approach to life. Keep your thoughts pure and clear. If negative thoughts do creep in then question why they keep appearing and what will you gain from it?

Most of all drink plenty of water and have a balanced diet and lifestyle. Also avoid stressful and pressurized situations. If this is unavoidable (maybe you have a demanding work schedule), then take regular breaks and during this time spend it by breathing in slowly and releasing it back out. Meditate even if it is only for a few minutes. This will help throughout the day.

Have a good week and thank you for reading this week's article!
